Yes, Rudy did show his good humor and personality on deflecting the “What happened?” question. McCain does a great job of responding to his mom’s remark that Republicans will “have to hold their noses” to vote for her son. (And you thought your mom was an embarrassment.) He makes the best case he can, but can’t resist saying he puts his country above party. That’s McCain –love him or not. Russert pushes Romney on why he won’t say how many of his millions he spent. Romney gives a hint that it’s less than Bloomberg, Forbes and Corzine. A sticky moment, although he tries to turn this to his advantage by saying he is not beholden to others. Russert is really fairly aggressive here.

i find myself surprised to be writing this but emanuele ottolenghi’s description of tamimi as a hamas ‘apologist’ is simply incorrect…he is a champion of hamas who consistently argues he has nothing to apologize for or defend …
can you imagine a sweetie like this with any power? Yes, you can. It is what has been going on in Gaza for the last 2.5 years.
There’s only one difference, Israeli soldiers are fighting in the field. Where are Hamas’s “soldiers” ? Simple, hidden in schools, dressed as nurses or giving speeches against democracy in democratic countries where, sadly, this BS is taken as “freedom of expression”.
bunch of cowards!
How perfect that George Galloway should have been on hand for that event.
“Tamimi hates moderate pro-Western Arab regimes”
you don’t? may I ask why you don’t hate the dictators in egypt, for example? do you agree with their methods? are you a totalitarian yourself?
funny how ‘lester’ is so discriminating about who is – and who is not – ‘hateworthy’…
his posting leave little doubt that he considers a mubarak only slightly more legitimate than bush…
but one must admire his superior ability at treating context as irrelevant….
for the record, i neither ‘hate’ nor ‘admire’ so-called ‘moderate pro-western arab regimes’ – i simply believe they are less willing or interested to kill jews for the sake of jews, americans for the sake of americans and israelis for the sake of being israeli…
…allies don’t have to be friends…just ask the french
5- egypt and other “moderate” totalitarian states don’t HAVE to be our allies and this guys is right to admonish us for supporting them. they oppress their people
Lester, I say again again what I *assure* you every single reader on this site thinks *every* time the/she reads a comment thread here– you define the word “troll.”
lester:
The point that apparently is lost in the thicket that is your mind is that Tamimi hates the moderate (in the sense tha tthey are not actively anti-American) Arab regimes, corrupt autocracies for the most part, because they are not sufficiently Islamist, not because they don’t espouse liberal democractic values.
All the anti-Jewish and anti-Zionists writing to this site and otherwise should talk to the many loyal-pro-the-Jewish-State-of-Israel-still-Muslim-Israeli-Bedouins. My Israeli relatives have informed me about how valiantly they serve in the Israeli Armed forces defending Israel from the likes of Hamas and Hezbollah.
Now why would they remain loyal to the Jewish state. It is because they too don’t want irrational and other reflexive Jew-hating-jerks like Hamas and Hezbollah running the country that they too live in and benefit much from.
gord- what difference does it make why he is opposed to tyranny? and waht difference does it make why you support it?
*sigh*
again, lester loves selective dishonesty…of course it makes a difference ‘why’ someone is opposed to tyranny because, as in tmimi’s case, he supports even worse tyrants: hamas and iran…you’d last all of 90 seconds under either – inshallah
as for gord’s ‘support’ of mubarak – my bet is that he prefers a mubarak to a ‘muslim brotherhood’ alternative…it’s funny how your efforts to point out what you think is the hypocrisy of others only underscores your own internal contradictions and confusion…you’re a classic example of someone who believes that ‘winning an argument’ is best accomplished by mischaracterizing the positions of others…
again, i admire your consistency because, dude!, that’s all you got going for yourself
so if you spin it the right way it’s okay to be against freedom and for tyranny. and I’M the one who’s delusional.
not hard to see why your movement isn’t gonig the way of the dodo. you can’t talk straight.
I’m always against us supporting tyranny and always for us supporting democracy but never either with our own blood and treasure.
always. you have a different philosphy for every issue and support any and all wars regardless of their necessity or our own financial, military or any other stability.
really, it’s amazing you guys lasted as long as you did. but with bush gone you better believe you wil be too. death to the neo cons!!! america first!!!
