The Think Tank With a Sense of Humor

  1. Ken M. says:

Democrats cant even remove their own corrupt officials, but we are to believe that they can order another country to remove theirs.

  2. Rob Dawson says:

Didn’t Obama try something like this when as a candidate he pushed for Musharraf to resign? Pakistan sure seems to be doing much better these days…

  3. Dellis says:

It appears that the long-run solution in Afghanistan is the same as it was in Iraq – part military, but also part political. I am pleased Dick Holbrooke is resuming his esteemed public service.

  4. Alexander Almasov says:

  5. Eppur Si says:

There is certainly good precedent for this approach. Remember that Jimmy Carter pushed out the flawed Shah in Iran, and Iran has been our good and grateful ally ever since. We need to return to that kind of diplomacy. Assuming we want to die…

  6. Oldflyer says:

    Holbrooke? Wow, just wow.

I am not going to buy any stock in Iraq or Afghanistan.
