During an interview with CNN’s John King, Rep. Nancy Pelosi hinted she knows something big that would prevent Newt Gingrich from ever becoming president:
If Pelosi’s talking about the ethics committee investigation again, it’s hard to believe there’s anything explosive there. If there was, Gingrich would have gotten more than just a reprimand from Congress – there would have been a serious criminal investigation. As it stands now, Gingrich was exonerated on some of the accusations by a subsequent IRS probe.
Plus, whatever damaging information on Gingrich that Nancy Pelosi claims to have in this clip, it apparently wasn’t horrible enough to stop her from teaming up with him on a global warming campaign. It seems more likely that Pelosi knows the same things everybody else does: that Gingrich cheated on two of his three wives, skirted ethics rules, left Congress in disgrace, alienated members of his own party, has an out-of-control ego, lobbied for Freddie Mac, flip-flopped on too many issues to count and seriously lacks self-discipline. So far, those problems haven’t dissuaded Republican voters from supporting him, but Pelosi certainly wouldn’t be far off to think these would be major – potentially insurmountable – obstacles during a general election.

The way Pelosi says it, there's an implication that he did something dastardly (like murder) — but, of course, that can't be or she would have already reported it to the police rather than be some kind of accessory. So I think this article is right — that what she claims to know is her opinion that Gingrich is a vile human being whom she cannot imagination anyone could really support if they got to know him at all … and therefore she's sure he'll lose his support before he could possibly be elected. Of course, that seems so elitist to presume like that (as if making the assumption kind of proves a wishful bias that makes clear analysis impossible) — but then Pelosi seems exceptionally vile herself in her public dealings, so what can one expect. If she does know about some crime, she should speak up — and, no matter what, some newsperson should point out the implications of what she's saying and ask her to explain herself.
Pelosi wants t bask in the limelight one more time and stand shoulder to shoulder to Newt Gingrich in stature. She is no longer Speaker and he is running for president. She wants attention.
Your kidding right? They let Gingrich pay a big fine and did not prosecute if he would go away. The deal is sealed so Gingrich thinks he is safe. Romney probably thought he was safe from Gingrich, but that was not the case. Pelosi would not make a public statement if she could not back it up.
So Newt Gingrich is a philandering sleazebag. This means he gets Clinton Democratic votes in the General.
It is not "hard to believe" at all.
Anyone remember the 900 FBI files that were discovered in Clinton's White House? n nI wonder what data might have been mined out of those?
A Pelosi spokesperson has officially put out a release that Nancy doesn’t know anything (um, know anything special about Newt that is)
Pelosi's office is on record denying that the Dem ex-Speaker has anything on the Repub ex-Speaker not already public knowledge.
Pelosi probably has pictures from the time when she and Newt had an affair. He knows she can't release the one of him in the bunny suit because he will release the one of her in the mesh stockings holding the little whip.
