Dachau
To the Editor:
I have read your interesting article “Returning to Dachau” by Bruno Bettelheim, in your February 1956 issue. . . . I believe that you would appreciate the sentiments of an American-born young man, my son David, who is with the army in Germany, concerning his visit to Dachau. He describes that visit and says: “I saw a ghost—a ghost that says tell the world. . . . Just as we are told to tell our children of the going out of Egypt, so I believe we should tell of the going in to Dachau. . . .”
