To the Editor:
I was very interested in Larry D. Nachman’s review of two recent books on children by Robert Coles [Books in Review, May]. I very much appreciate and agree with the tenor of his criticisms. However, I believe he overstates his position when he refers to “the late Erik Erikson.” Having had dinner with Erik last Sunday and watching him and Joan dance, I feel that Mr. Nachman should be more temperate in his adjectives.
