Commentary Magazine

From a Non-Skip Reader

To the Editor:

That was a very touching piece about the Hebrew University, at least touching for one who knows the site, by my friend Norman Bentwich in the May Commentary.

Congratulations on the recent issues of Commentary which I found waiting for me on my return from Israel. Even when they accumulate on my desk during an absence, I find that I dare not skip them.

The American Jewish Committee is performing a high public service by making the magazine possible and by giving the editors a free hand.

Correction

In the May issue of Commentary there appeared letters by Ernest Angell and Osmond K. Fraenkel, at the end of which their association with the American Civil Liberties Union was listed. We have been asked to make it clear that both men were writing in their personal capacity, and that their letters are not to be taken in any way as officially representing the views of the American Civil Liberties Union.—Ed.
