The Dance

- Abstract

When all the animals have fled into your eyes,
To dance and sing the first flesh of the bone;
When all the great bears and the humming birds
Have shed the shadow of their silent wood,
To be begotten on your sense and sight;
Then you too shall dance among the animals,
For were you not begotten on the mind of God?
When the ocean’s diamonds fade in darkness
