- Abstract
IN LATE June the Supreme Court is expected to hand down a decision on the constitutionality of race-guided admissions policies at the Universi- ty of Michigan undergraduate college and law school. One sign of the momentousness of this oc- casion is that, a few days before the Court was to begin hearing arguments on the two cases in early April, the New York Times dedicated the whole of its op-ed page to the subject of affirmative action.
