Great story - I appreciate the opportunity to make its acquaintance. The film is not so good; the filmmakers start out trying to recreate the story in another medium, but at the point when the bullet is fired they give up and simply have a narrator read the story on the soundtrack, so it becomes an illustrated recital. They do, however, cast the terrific New York character actor Tom Noonan as Anderson, and though he looks completely different from my impression of Wolff's character, an artist of his skill can't help but add some interesting touches of his own.
