No War on Puberty

Dara Mandle - 11.27.2007 - 4:48 PM

Jewcy blogger Abe Greenwald lets us know today just how far reporters from the New York Times to Time to the BBC are willing to go not to admit the obvious about the participants in the riots that began in France this past weekend.

For some reason, I can’t imagine why, these news outlets avoid stating that the rioters are Muslim. In fact, consistently referring to the rioters as “youths,” the news outlets make it sound as though, as Greenwald points out, what France and Nicolas Sarkozy are confronting is “teenage extremism” that “demands nothing less than a fully committed War on Puberty.”

This would be more amusing if it were less dangerous and ominous.

    But it is amusing. :-)

It’s like John Cleese in Fawlty Towers with the German hotel guests.. “Don’t mention the war!”

Everybody on the left is playing the same game, the “be nice to us and we’ll kill you last” game… on what grounds to they expect to retain and enjoy the society that effectively protects them from chaos and danger if they spend all their time vociferously attacking that society and defending radical Islam, the bringers of the danger, by default?

I’ll say it for the umpteenth time– New York Times news staff, they’ll kill you FIRST.

Leftists, agnostics, atheists, and especially Hollywood and New York and the media and the music biz and the stage and screen, everywhere you people flout convention and attack decency and tradition and support gay marriage and abortion and fill the screens with nudity and the radio speakers with filth, those things will inflame and outrage these Islamic extremists and they WILL KILL YOU FIRST.

YOU are the chief complaint of Osama, not Israel… it isn’t Jews he hates, it’s people who have no morals.

They’ll kill you first. Remember that next time you’re tempted to omit mentioning that it’s Muslims committing violence… they won’t cut you any slack for it. They’ll kill you first.

This is no surprise. And most of the French media outlets are not stating the obvious either. And the reason is simple: Villiers-le-Bel is a suburb known for its large Muslim population and the two victims of the police hit-and -un were named Moushin and Larami. Obvious. Even with the night sky in Paris lit up by the fires of riots, the “obvious” will always be somewhere else.

Now don’t laugh, but what if it turned out that Le Pen’s prescription for ameliorating the frustrations of puberty (hint for the uninformed: Bill Clinton’s ill-fated surgeon-general had the same idea ) were also at least a partial solution to the disaffected-Muslim problem? I know it’s facile casually to blame Islamic rage on sexual repression, but still….Jews, certainly, have frequently prided themselves on a less prudish approach to life, although of course the traditional Jewish remedy for adolescent restlessness was not Le Pen’s, but prompt marriage and lots of children. But wouldn’t it still be better if angry Muslim youth took the aging ex-paratrooper’s wisdom to heart (or other places) than that they spent all their time violently deconstructing their neighborhoods?

I agree completely with Seth Halpern–with a slight modification. Islamists are sexually perverse, frightened of the fact that females exist. They are terrified of women and want to annihilate the difference between the sexes, which to most of us is a source of pleasure. They are drawn to the kind of perversion found in the writings of the Marquis de Sade. For example, last week, one of the Jihadis turned a one year old infant into a bomb, killing more than 100 in Pakistan. Sade would have welcomed this. In Sade’s work, like Justine, erotic child murder is one of the higher forms of pleasure.
