This cringe-inducing retort from Obama campaign:

“Today, John McCain put the former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the presidency.”

There are a lot of towns of 9000 and it seems awfully mean spirited to bring that up as a dig. She of course is a governor now but to bring up her small town roots as a slam seems, well, stupid.
