It shows how insane Clinton haters like Jacobite are that they would claim that Ralph Nader would help the Clintons.

It shows how desperate the Clinton campaign is that they should pull Nader out of retirement for this.

My question about Obama being pro-Palestinian in the State Senate wasn't rhetorical. I'm genuinely interested in learning whether there is any evidence of this or is Nader just making it up?

i'm guessing "the lobby" will throw their weight behind mcain and sink with that ship.

there is no appetite for more wars in the middle east or blind submission to beltway lobbying entities. in fact, both are incredibly unpopular

This is rich, because when Nader ran in 2000, he ran as the candidate of the anti-Israel Green Party, and when he ran in 2004, he consorted with well-known anti-Israel pundits and pushed the party line about Israeli undue influence in US affairs, etc.

This is a very weird quote by an admittedly "enthusiastic supporter" of Barack Obama:

"The weaknesses of the Obama foreign policy advisory team are a result of a contagion in the Democratic party itself," he said. "It is not just a failure of understanding about Israel's predicament, but a failure of understanding about the career of freedom in the world."

Is Karl Rove starting to write Marty Peretz's posts at the Spine? With friends like him---Barack "Barry" Obama doesn't need any enemies.

Nader's comments are the first time I've heard "he was pro-Palestinian when he was in Illinois before he ran for the state Senate" and I've received plant of ant-Obama e-mails. Is this any evidence of this or is the just Nader being Nader?

With Obama you've got to do two things to believe what he says about Israel.

First, ignore his history of antipathy to the Jewish state. Second, ignore his associations (most especially his anti-Semitic pastor) and his foreign policy advisors ("Yes, Senator, drink the Palestinian Kool-Aid; it's tasty and refreshing...").

Then there's this very telling bit from his statement: "...the Israelis will have to figure out how do we work with a legitimate Palestinian government to create a Palestinian state that is sustainable."

Obama is hardly alone in this nonsense: the burden of working with the Palestinians falls on Israel's shoulders. Instead of where it belongs, with the Palestinians and the rest of the Arab world.

Will no one step up and state the obvious: the Palestinians have chosen death by choosing Hamas; they continue to choose death by backing the "moderate" Fatah. Both Hamas and Fatah want Israel dead and gone; they differ only on means and how honest they are about doing so.
