Obama Would Rather Stop Running Against Hillary
- 04.22.2008 - 10:57 PMSo his speech is largely a rant against John McCain. He no doubt is happy to be in the Midwest, as he said. But the problem remains that he still has to climb past Hillary Clinton who did a remarkable thing: she gave a better speech. She was at least positive and engaging; he seems angry - at President Bush, at McCain and no doubt at the results tonight. Could he be bitter?

[…] Jennifer Rubin notes that while Hillary Clinton’s speech was rather upbeat, Obama’s negative attacks against McCain made him sound angry and small. Sorry, Sen. Obama, but you haven’t won yet, no matter how badly you’d rather it were […]

Hillary! thought it would be a coronation and it took her a while to figure out she was wrong. Around about February Obama thought he would get the nomination by acclamation. He still hasn’t figured out he’s in a fight, I think.
I especially like all the figuring on how much Hillary! has to win the rest of the contests by in order to overtake Obama. Why is no one figuring out how much Obama would have to win by to win a majority of the delegates. Oh. Because it appears to be 105%. His middle name may be Hussein, but he can’t win elections by margins like those of Saddam.

Clinton’s speech was actually touching. I mean, she was lying her ass off regarding policy. But the emotional aspects were moving and sincere. Obama’s speech from Indiana (so long Pennsylvania!) felt sullen, he sounded like a brat. He had no one to blame for that loss but his own big mouth.

Pity the poor Arugulan American, he hasn’t yet figured out that Dubya isn’t running in 2008.
Here is a tip for you Obie, take it like a man and hitch up your pants, you sound like a kid who won’t admit that he can be bested at anything. You actually believed that you were ‘The One’©, didn’t you?
Welcome to the big leagues, Senator Present, you aren’t running for East Side Assemblyman this time.

I saw Chuck Todd, begrudgingly draw up a map based on the idea that if Hillary did win the popular vote, the superdelegates would go her way.
200k? After PA and OH, and clinging/wright IN is going to net 100k for hrc.
The netroots don’t want to hear it, but if the superdelgates haven’t decided yet, wouldn’t it be logical to assume they are waiting to see who wins the popular?
hindsight:
Obama neede to peel off a lot more at large delgates during the dead time. He didn’t.
Personally: the toughest ticket is Clinton/Obama. Obama is the guy who has the glass jaw at the top, but could plead ingonrance as a veep. I’m sorry his people are running a crap campaign. 2-1 in cash and the margin is worse than when he started.

Sen. Obama’s (D-Rev. Wright) speech this evening from Indiana did have that “bitter” feeling to it. Indeed, he does seem to be running against GW. Has the Obama campaign finally reined in the wife? She seemed subdued and, uh, out of the way on the platform tonight. Or is she just bitter, too?

Bitter? Well, sure. It’s a slavery thing. Us typical white people wouldn’t understand.
