About the Author

Kelly Cherry, who teaches English at the University of Wisconsin, has published four novels, the most recent of which is The Lost Traveller's Dream, and two books of poetry. Her short stories have appeared in COMMENTARY, the Iowa Review, the North American Review, and other publications. Her new book of poems, Natural Theology, will be brought out by Louisiana State University Press in October.
